MAG welder (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
• Thorough study of drawings and correct interpretation
• Pre-processing and finishing of materials used
• (MAG) Welding of components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions
• Use of measuring instruments for quality assurance
• Maintenance of welding equipment, machines and tools
• Independent quality control (worker self-inspection) as well as visual inspection of the weld seams in collaboration with QA and welding supervisor
• Active participation in and advancement of the continuous improvement process in the department
• Reporting of production data in the corresponding EDP system

Job description:
A welder works with the processing and machining of metal. Their responsibilities include assembling and joining components using various welding techniques, preparing and finishing materials and performing quality checks.
As the name suggests, a welder mainly deals with the welding of components and materials. They do this in order to produce specific structures, installations or shapes. Welders are provided with precise specifications by their shift manager or division manager. Due to this, a welder’s responsibilities also include reading and interpreting drawings and instructions.
