Production assistant for cleaning and alignment (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
• Thorough study of drawings and correct interpretation
• Cleaning of weld seams
• Grinding of welding assemblies
• Alignment of welding assemblies
• Use of measuring instruments for quality assurance
• Maintenance of machines and tools
• Independent quality control (worker self-inspection) as well as visual inspection of the weld seams in collaboration with QA and welding supervisor
• Active participation in and advancement of the continuous improvement process in the department
• Reporting of production data in the corresponding EDP system
Job description:
Cleaning/grinding
After welding, some welding residue is left on the weld seam. This may be slag, scale or weld spatters. This residue has to be removed by “cleaning” using an angle grinder, pneumatic grinder or pneumatic chisel.
Alignment
Thermal influences (MAG welding) can cause our welding assemblies to become deformed. This results in undesired unevenness and size deviations. For this reason, these components have to be aligned using hydraulic straightening presses, flame or induction, depending on the component size and structure.
